Dr. Joana Brown is a board-certified pediatric dentist dedicated to providing compassionate, thoughtful dental care for infants, children, and teens. She believes pediatric dentistry is about more than treating teeth — it’s about supporting a child’s overall well-being and helping families feel confident and informed at every stage. While prevention is always the goal, she understands that cavities are common in young children and that seeking treatment can feel overwhelming. With patience, clarity, and empathy, Dr. Brown ensures that both children and parents feel supported and at ease during every visit.
As both a pediatric dentist and a mother, she treats each patient like family. She prioritizes comfort, trust, and long-term oral health, combining clinical expertise with a gentle approach to create a calm, reassuring environment where children feel safe and valued.
Born in the Philippines and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Brown earned her bachelor’s degree from The College of New Jersey before completing her Doctorate in Dental Medicine at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. It was there that she discovered her passion for working with children — a natural extension of her lifelong love of being around kids. She went on to complete her pediatric dental residency at NYU Langone in Brooklyn, where she served as chief resident and gained extensive experience caring for children of all ages.
Today, Dr. Brown is proud to provide pediatric dental care to families in Howell, NJ and the surrounding communities. Outside of the office, her faith and family remain central to her life. She enjoys spending time with her husband, their two children, and their beloved cats, finding joy in life’s simple moments.
